Request data deletion
Ping Near does not require an email-based account. You can still ask us to locate and delete personal information associated with an anonymous session.
How to submit a request
- Email [email protected] with the subject "Ping Near data deletion request."
- Include the nickname used, the approximate date and time of the session, the city or approximate location, and your device platform. Do not send identity documents or precise coordinates.
- We will use only the information needed to locate the relevant records and may ask a limited follow-up question.
What is deleted
Once a request is verified, we delete or de-identify the profile, location, device and notification information, messages, place choices, and meeting records that can reasonably be linked to that session. Some information may be retained when necessary for safety reports, fraud or abuse prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. We will explain any applicable retention in our response.
Limitations of anonymous sessions
Because Ping Near does not authenticate users with an email address or password, we may be unable to locate a session or verify ownership when the supplied details are insufficient. See the Privacy Policy for more information.
